  11 night Stay Pullman's Sea Temple Port Douglas We stayed in a hotel spa suit. The website promised us 5 star through boutique collections who were booked through travstar. We stayed 11 nights. Our aircondintioner made squeaking noises and was leaking water and condensation so on day 7 we called them and complained about it waking us up at 2am for the last 7 nights, amongst a couple of other problems we were having with our room. No one came to fix it like they promised so 2 days later I called again and gave them the whole list of every problem: 1. Air conditioner as mentioned 2. The fridge door wouldn't close properly or seal which caused our food to perish 3. The faucet or tap on the bathroom sink was loose to the point of almost falling off where it was mounted to the sink. 4. The front door wouldn't shut properly unless we used the card to enter and exit to allow the handle to turn so that we could without slamming it shut 5. The pathway from our room to the pool was so over grown with shrubs and ferns, that I had to physically pull half the plants out in order to get to the pool. 6. The bed was like sleeping on a concrete block in a prison cell and the pillows were like those old feather dooners where the feathers always fell to the bottom after 2 nights of sleep. 7. They didn't supply enough toilet rolls for the length of our stay 8. There was one tea bag and no coffee and sugar in our room because they hadn't refilled the supplies after the previous tenants stay. 9. Boutique collections owns certain apartments and hires them out at sea temple resort, which is supposedly supposed to provide a better and cheaper deal. We payed $3,300 and found out later for the same dates in 12 months time would have cost exactly the same through the hotel itself instead of boutique collections, which would have also included room service, daily cleaning (not having to ask for more toilet paper) and wifi which we did not have in our package. Our room was only cleaned twice during our stay (including being clean when we first arrived). When I called the second time to complain I asked for some kind of compensation. Upon discussing with their management and calling me back we were offered a two bedroom penthouse sweet with roof top spa and BBQ area, which had a large lounge/dining area and fully functional kitchen and laundry for the last 2 nights of our stay. This was a nice gesture and great compensation considering the price difference between our rooms, but over all boutique collections and travstar who are the booking agent need to lift there game if they want to provide 5 star service and charge the price tag. Unfortunately we won't be booking with boutique collections again even after being compensated due to lack of attention to detail and charging for something that they are not providing.
